Grand Worthy Advisor, 2007-2008
Shelley Ashcraft was born on September 23, 1987, in El Campo, Texas. Shelley was initiated in to Rainbow on November 2, 1999, in El Campo Assembly #94. She made her way up the line serving as Faith, Hope, Charity, Worthy Associate Advisor, and then was installed as Worthy Advisor on February of 2003. At the Grand Assembly session at Waco in 2004, Shelley was appointed Grand Representative to California and Colorado. During this term, she visited the Grand Assembly of Colorado for their "Keeper of the Light" session, and also the Grand Assembly of Oklahoma for their "Stepping out with the Stars" session. Shelley was then appointed to Grand Drill Leader at Grand Assembly in Corpus Christi in 2005. During this time she traveled to California for their "Get Your Kicks in Route 66" session. Shelley was also initiated into the Order of Eastern star in December of 2005. Then, at the 2006 Grand Assembly session in Waco, Shelley was blessed by her sisters when she was elected to Grand Worthy Associate Advisor. She received the Victor C. and Martha Marie Whitfield scholarship as well as a Pot of Gold scholarship also in 2006 at Grand Assembly. Last year, Shelley traveled to Kansas’s Grand Assembly "Garden of Hope" session. Shelley also served El Campo Assembly a second time as Worthy Advisor in the spring of 2006. Throughout her years of Rainbow service, Shelley has attended numerous Masonic functions including Conclave, Government Day, Grand Lodge, Grand Chapter, and Masonic Youth Weekend.
Shelley’s theme this year is "May All Your Dreams Come True," and her symbol is a rainbow shooting star. This year Shelley chose Texas Children’s Neurological Department as her charity project. Throughout this year assemblies will be collecting board games, coloring books, and colors to donate to this amazing hospital for the children to use while under going treatment.
